Tabsy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by the Tabsy mobile application (the "App").

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in data minimization. The type of data we collect depends on whether you are using the Free version or the Premium version of the App.

A. Free Version (Local Storage)

If you use the free version of Tabsy without creating an account:

• No Personal Data is Collected: We do not collect your name, email, or contact list.
• Local Data Storage: All data regarding your tabs, debts, and transaction history is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
• Deleting the App: If you delete the App, all your data will be permanently lost as it is not backed up to our servers.

B. Premium Version (Cloud Sync)

If you choose to upgrade to Tabsy Premium and create an account to enable cloud backup and sync:

• Account Information: We collect the username you enter when creating the account and tie it to a unique user ID to manage your account.
• Tab Data: Tab data what you create when making tabs to track IOUs/lends between your friends. We collect an encrypted version of this data to provide cloud sync/backup.

C. Usage Data

We do not collect usage data.

3. Third-Party Services

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our App ("Service Providers"), to provide the App on our behalf, or to assist us in analyzing how our App is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

• Apple App Store & Google Play Services: Used to process payments. We do not store or have access to your credit card details.

4. Data Security

The security of your data is foundational to our service. For Premium users, all cloud data is protected by end-to-end encryption. This ensures that your information is encrypted locally on your device before it ever reaches our servers, meaning only you possess the keys to decrypt and access your data.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
